Father God's Integrity

You as a parent will always make sure that your children have clothes, are fed, get sleep, and have shelter. (1 Timothy 5:8) But one day they suddenly start asking you if you're going to give them food to eat, and if they'll have clothes to wear. You say "Yes, of course, little one!" And the next day they ask again about their food, and clothing, and shelter. You say "Yes, Of Course, Absolutely!" And the next day they ask the same thing. You say, a little louder, "Why, YES, Of Course, Absolutely, for Sure!" (Matthew 7:11) And the next day they ask the same thing. And you realize that they are questioning your character and ability, in this case to provide for them appropriately. Knowing that your track record has never missed the mark any day of their life, this time your answer to your children is one of a question; "What is it that causes you to question my ability to provide for you?"

How much more your Heavenly Father? (Philippians 4:19) What does God think when you question Him in this way? (Ephesians 3:20) He's Jehovah Jireh! What causes us to question His ability to be a loving and heavenly Father God? (Luke 11:9-13) Find that source and eliminate it, or it will hinder your walk with God.
