Shall we think about Jesus Christ for just a few moments?
He was before all things, and is God. (Colossians 1:16) He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. No other name is above His name. All authority belongs to Him. He is higher than any other, forever past, present, and future. He is the royalty to which all other royalty must bow. He is Almighty God, El Shaddai, (Genesis 17:1-5) His home has, and will always be in Heaven. He is all powerful (1 Chronicles 19:11), present everywhere, and knowing all things. He is absolute, perfect, and complete. He is all goodness, faithful, truth, and merciful, He is full of peace, and wisdom. He is more than enough. He is Love. And Jesus Christ is His son, eternal, one with God the Father.
And, because of all these things, Jesus Christ was able to make us His choice. when He obeyed His Father God. Before you were born, they knew you! Today they knows everything about you, nothing is hidden. They know the plans and purposes that are set up for your future, if you so choose. They understand every thought and see every action. Jesus intimately knows what it's like to be human, because He was all human for 33 years. You have been loved from the beginning of time., with Love that exceeds all understanding and over reaches every expanse..
So, you were formed by God, and given all the intimate things that make you you. You're His creation, and He cares for you so much that He sent His Son to you. (John 3:16) Jesus obeyed His Father and cares for you., so much that He gave up all that He enjoyed for you. Why? Because He knew we had no hope, We were all doomed on a 'Forever Sin Path' through the sinful nature we inherited at birth. Because of one man's choice against God, our 'Forever Sin Path' was created, leading every human being to eventual death and residence in Hell for eternity. This "Forever Sin Path' is due to an 'inherited gene' that we can't avoid. No other hope has or will ever exist. It's impossible for us to change ourselves or our original path. Humans needed to be saved, back to the possibility of a 'Forever with God' path, by someone. An all powerful, perfect someone. It's the ultimate rescue mission!
Jesus Christ left His divinity to become human. and correct our eternity for us. He relied completely on His Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit in Him to complete the task. And while Jesus could have elected a different outcome for Himself, He chose to be innocently killed to pay for the price for our sin. (Luke 22:40-46) That's perfection. He died to cover the sin of all humankind in the eyes of the one who matters, Almighty God. (John 5:30) The crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ was the most gruesome ever to occur, yet through His desire, and ability to give up His Spirit and obey His heavenly Father, Jesus chose us. (John 4:34) He died. And then He waited through absolute torment in Hell until the power of the Holy Spirit swept into Him and raised Him back up from death in Hell. Jesus is Victory!
The story of Jesus is a blue print for us, in so many ways, It's The game changer, the most pivotal moment in history! We as believers in this resurrection story have been saved back into 'Forever with Jesus Christ', when we believed in His story, the only truth that exists eternal forever. Even more magnificent is that we get everything of Jesus Christ in the package, including His authority, and become part of Him. What's not to want about this? (Romans 12:1-2) Will we deny everything temporary in our lives that distract us, (2 Corinthians 10:1-4) and make Jesus our everything first? (1 John 5:14-15) Will we reflect the choice He made for us, back to Him, in every aspect of our being? (Mark 16:15-20) We will all die forgiven. The question is,, did our personal choice leave us on the 'Forever Sin Path', or switch us to the 'Forever with Jesus Christ' path? (Hebrews 10:5-7)
More reflection?
